Biography

Cadence Phillips is an artist that primarily works with painting and photography, and whose work mainly features themes of womanhood and the human body. Phillips uses her own body in many of her photographs to express her own experiences being a woman. Her paintings consist of the figure, either through abstraction or representation, and she uses the body to convey sentimentality, isolation, and femininity. Phillips was born and raised in Orlando, Florida and is currently pursuing her BFA at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in Painting and Photography.
